The Downtown Development Authority of Blairsville held their downtown
revitalization work plan meeting on Monday, June 12, 7pm, in the
Brackett Community Room
at United Community Bank.
Priorities were updated from the ones voiced at the Town
Meeting in September of 2005 and committees were formed to develop work
plans for projects, action steps, timelines, and funding sources
designed to take the City of Blairsville into the active phase of the Better Hometown
Program, a self help community development program administered by the
State of Georgia.
This revitalization effort continues to need dedicated participants willing to do
the hard work
necessary to produce long-lasting benefits for our community. Please
review the resources listed below on this site, attend the meetings of interest to
you,
offer your input, and sign up for a committee to be a part of this
initiative and help implement the target
projects.
