This Saturday, January 8th, from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, Atlanta NRA handgun instructor, Ken Murray and expert knife maker, Dennis Bradley, will be at Owltown Market, along with many other gun, knife and leather making enthusiasts.
Dennis has been making knives since the early 70's. His metalworking background has helped him tremendously in making knives.
He was a tool and die maker/mold maker before entering the teaching profession. He taught metalworking at the high school level for over 30 years. He has been a member of The Knifemakers Guild since 1988 and is also a member of the Georgia Custom Knifemakers Guild. Dennis makes scrimshaw, hunters, bowies, miniatures and folders. He uses a variety of methods including flat grinding, hollow grinding, mirror polish, and hand rubbed satin finish.
Ken is the owner of Atlanta Handgun School. He teaches the basic knowledge, skills and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. Firearms ownership is a serious undertaking. With the right training, they can be a source of great satisfaction and peace of mind. Very little of what a defensive handgun owner needs to know, can be learned from books or websites. Training and focused practice, are the only way to develop the skill necessary to properly react during an emergency.
For more info, please call Ken @ 678-777-3611 or Owltown Market @ 706-835-5695.
