Union County is a rural county steeped in the tradition of hunting. So it's not much surprise to find that Union County does not have any ordinances concerning firearms. State laws define any limits there may be.There's no limitations on how far away from another's home they have to be. There is a limitation of being no closer than 50 yards within a public road. And the gun holder is not allowed to point the gun at another person unless it is in defense of life, health and property. If you attend the safety course, I bet they'd be willing to answer questions concerning handguns and other firearms that aren't already covered in the class.

I guess people will start being more careful when walking around. Personally I wouldn't mind having a gun myself. A small one of course.Live, Laugh, Love to your fullest |

Roger - Directions to the Firing Range:Take 515 (towards Blue Ridge) from Blairsville. Go to 325/Nottley Dam Rd. and turn right. (At the Shell Station - which is now closed) Cross Dean Gap Rd. then go about 1/4 mile - down the hill there will be 2 gates at a grave rd. on left. - turn left. Go right at the first fork in the road and pass behind the long barn to the range. Go to http://www.drugfreeunioncounty.org and all info is there. Good luck Mr. Roger - Woof, Woof PS This may be a "private" range
