Costume Contest
Old Fashioned Games
A wholesome family event featuring
a costume contest, storytelling,
craft activities, old-fashioned games,
and trick or treating.
88 businesses are signed up to give away candy and treats and there will be a children’s costume parade and costume contest (7pm). In addition, children’s games and activities will be held on the courthouse lawn throughout the event, and downtown restaurants are open for dining.
And this year there's something different: the Food 4 Food Drive at Hometown Halloween on the Square. For every 4 food items brought to Halloween on the Square on Friday, your name will go into a drawing for 1 of 3 gift baskets containing gift certificates from local restaurants for a week's worth of dining out in the area.
There is no limit to the amount of times you can enter, but each person can only win one basket.
Some of the restaurants who donated certificates are Brasstown Valley Resort, Copperhead Lodge, Comfort Café, Papa’s Pizza, Hole in the Wall, Cookie Jar, Mike’s Seafood, Antoinetta’s, Griddle Café, Cook’s Country Kitchen, J & J Café, Downtown Pizza, Prete’s Pizza, Hilltop Café, Zaxby’s, Dale’s Hot Dog House, Blimpies, Grinds n Glazes, Seafood 2 Go, Panther Pub, Popie’s BBQ, Fatz Café, Blairsville Restaurant, Sawmill Place and Waffle House.
