I have volunteered to work in a screened in bee room with bees.I will bee suited up and acting like I know what I am doing, showing comb, bees, looking smart and nattily dressed in my stained bee suit, the veil with the hole in the screen BUT!!! grumpy said I could not dare work with duct tape on my gloves, so yippee I finally get a new pair of bee gloves. (remember girls accessorize, accessorize, accessorize) I will be there at 11:00 and probably stay for about an hour. (I have major plans at 3:30) Talk about frugal it's the only way I can get into the fairgrounds for free. That’s really the one thing that will save the world. Of course it's raining, the fair is coming to town.
It just isn't the fair if you aren't slogging around in mud and hay with it oozing in the tops of your shoes while watching the kids go round and round on the rides.
When the fair used to come once a year in August it always rained, you could count on it.
HOWEVER, we never had to pay $9.00 to get in, ouch.

HoneyBee, duct tape is a beekeeper's good friend. When I used to work bees, I would always put duct tape around the bottom of my pants legs to seal them to my boots so the bees can't get in. Even if you're working them at night when they don't fly, they will crawl up your leg.Have fun at the fair! |

Thanks to all of ya'll who came out to visit. Sorry I didn't get to visit long, but I was busy. Hope you learned some about honeybees.
11-2 was some long hours on the feet, but it was fun.
