I'm sure there's still time to do it, but maybe the parents can set up a "trust" fund at one of the banks. That way, people who cannot make it can send it right to the bank or have it deposited when they go in to the bank for her expenses.
Very good idea Maddy.. and yeah, you can pretty much do this the day of the event also.. I do believe.. Lizabeth, do you have an auctioneer already? Yall are doing an auction right?

Got my stuff.
Put me down for 1 chocolate cake.
Bunch of chocolate cupcakes with sprinkles, cuase kid's love sprinkles and some decorations for the top.
About 3 dozen or more cookies. Do you want me to separate the cookies into sandwich bags, 2 to a bag or just send them in a big container? Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion. |

2 to a bag, how's that.
3 if they turn out small instead of large.
No problem.

You know Elizabeth, even though I haven't decided what I want to do when I grow up, I think you should seriously consider being an event co-ordinator.
There are college courses for it and it's great for people who need something done, but they don't have the time or the knowledge to do it.
You could start small with birthday parties and group meetings then work your way to bigger projects.
Who do you think is in charge of all of the events that take place in major cities? Event Co-ordinator's. Major concerts, meetings, parades, large, large events, etc.
The bike race through North Ga, everything that is a group event needs someone to work on it and put it together. You seem to enjoy doing that.

I do enjoy doing this! I have helped put together 2 benefits, but this is the first one I have done by myself. And I must say I think its going to be a good one! And just to let everyone know.. I cancelled the moon bounces like a week ago because the weather was suppose to be bad. So i'm glad I did!! Elizabeth met with McKinsey and her Mama yesterday. Tabitha had some items for the auction and had also made a picture poster of McKinsey and her Family. She is a beautiful child, as is her 3 yr old Big Brother!! She has started her weekly chemo treatments, and Elizabeth told me that even tho the side effects of the chemo (hair loss, etc.) have begun, McKinsey is still a bright eyed active little 2 yr old!! :) I have never met this precious little girl and her Family, but Lord willin', I will this afternoon!!
A very grateful, straight from the heart "THANK YOU" to all that have helped!!!
Hope to see ya'll at the Benefit this evenin'..!! :)

We were late gettin' started..(imagine that..us bein' late for something..?! ), but it all worked out... even tho the turnout was small compared to some we've been to, the benefit was a huge success!!! It was wonderful meeting McKinsey and her family, and putting faces with names...McKinsey and Landon are sooo cute...just precious!! This little lady and her Family, have a long road ahead of them, and I ask that ya'll please keep them in your prayers!!
