He's making a list, checking it twice Santa Claus paid a special visit to Brother’s Restaurant in Ranger on Saturday morning to have breakfast and lunch with children and to hear their requests for what to bring on Christmas Day. Dwayne Sneed, owner of Brother’s, said it was the best turnout he’s ever had for the event, which is designed to raise money for the local Marine Corps League’s Toys for Tots drive. The restaurant donated 20 percent of sales from breakfast and lunch to Toys for Tots, and patrons were encouraged to donate toys. In all, Sneed said the restaurant raised more than $1,000 for Toys for Tots. The next event with Santa is from 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Murphy House Buffet. Tickets are $10 and include a buffet breakfast. The third event is on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Waffle King. A discount breakfast and discounted hamburgers will be offered. Cherry Blossom
