Dawn Burnette is developer of the popular Daily Grammar Practice, a unique, research-based approach to helping students understand, apply, and remember grammar concepts, in use in 50 states and 8 countries. Far beyond short-term retention to pass standardized tests, the Daily Grammar Practice is designed to get the grammar rules into long-term memory and comprehension by focusing on individual grammar concepts, while still applying it to overall grammar structure and usage in a straight forward way.Ms. Burnette is a 15 year veteran high school English teacher, formerly with the McIntosh High School in Peachtree City. These days though, she's busy with her own company and making preparations to complete her move to Blairsville and Union County, along with her husband, Rod, and daughter. Their decision to move here came after a week-long stay one recent Thanksgiving. She plans on home-schooling their daughter while they focus on growing their business around Daily Grammar Practice, the Burnette Writing Process, and a new reading comprehension tool called "You Can Picture It!". Their house is expected to be completed some time in November.
